Topical Tuesday :: #22 Health Care
Before we moved to Spain, I watched a programme on television about a couple who had emigrated to France. The woman developed breast cancer, went to her doctor and found herself admitted to hospital the following day when the tumour was removed. To cut a long story short, France has a healthcare system where the more serious illnesses are treated free, I think it was 100. I seem to remember that healthcare insurance had to be purchased for the none life threatening illnesses. Perhaps this is the way to go for those healthcare systems that have financial problems, ie Spain.
