I believe it is a problem with profressional chefs in general. My husband is one, and he is not only a nightmare in the kitchen but a recipe thief! He took my mothers recipe for peach and apple cobbler, changed only the quantity of sugar, and then passed it off as his own. It was her own creation and a family treasure. Still bitter! The superiority of chefs when dealing with those they consider non pros is always annoying.

A pork pie is a traditional British food consisting of chopped pork and pork jelly in a hot water crust pastry – where I lived in the UK, it was normally eaten cold with piccalilli or other pickles or a spicy brown sauce.

Melton Mowbray Pork Pies are made using uncured meat and have crusts that are irregular in shape and hand made (ie its the Ferrari of pork pies), whilst commercially produced pies use cured pork with a more uniform shape as their makers use moulds.
